I am attending a school within the next 3 months–the school of aesthetics (not affiliated w/a college) and would like to know of government grants (ANY) that would help support me financially while attending for a yr.
THe school does offer 2 grants, however am very curious as to if there are EVEN MORE grants out there to help me that I am not familiar with.
And HAVE YOU received gov. grants when you got your education in addition to the one’s already offered to you by your college/school
thanks

the role of higher education grants?

Since 1990 the role of grants in supporting students through higher education has been eliminated. Why have British governments undertaken these changes/ what has been their impact?how best should i answer that question?need to right a top essay.
1. If you need to "right" a top essay, then already I see a major stumbling block.
2. However, think of the obvious matters – reasons for abolition: various economic ones; impact of abolition: debt, university applications, socio-economic background of students, part-time working etc. Then take a look at the following webpages (but also find some by yourself).
a) economic reasons

b) debt

I currently live in California and I am also receiving unemployment. Trying to pinpoint a grant searching the internet seems to be very confusing. The grants I’ve found are mostly for women who are continuing their education, I have no prior education other than high school. I have heard of grants that not only pay for your education, but for some of your living expenses as well, is this true or just wishful thinking?

what to do if someone is using education grants for things other than education?

I know someone in CA that has been using her education grants from CA for things other than education. Like a boob job. Is there a law about that or any way she could get in trouble for it?
She isnt working and and owes some money for school.
When the school receives the grant funding, they first deduct what they need for the school bill to be paid (Tuition, etc.). The grant money leftover from that is then sent to the student in the form of a check, but this does not mean the student can use this money for whatever they want. It must be used for education-related expenses such as rent, books, travel expenses for getting to and from school, personal expenses such as shampoo and laundry detergent, and school supplies. Spending financial aid grants on something like a boob job is illegal, but there’s not an easy way to catch it unless she were to tell a financial aid officer that she’s doing that.

Why didn’t the Bush admin and the GOP borrow and spend $4 TRILLION on education and college grants?

Would $4 TRILLION have placed every school online and allowed for video conferencing between classes?
Would $4 TRILLION in GPA based grants in critical fields have made the US even more competitive in the future?
Is war the only priority due to the major profits it creates for corporate backers?
Finally, something I agree with you about Chi Guy!
Well, mostly at least.
Our schools should be palaces of learning. "Teacher" should be a hard degree to acquire and the pay should be six figures! Tenure should be scrapped.
Our children are our promise for the future. Money spent there should be doubled, trippled, or more, but not wasted.
This would of course require a complete revamping of the current system. Throwing money into the current system would be a complete waste. Maybe the voucher system would be best and all schools should be private. Teachers could earn bonuses for a job well done, paid for by the government. Surely a reasonable testing regiment could be established to see how well a teacher has performed?
I’m not suggesting that the military/industrial complex should be dismantled. I believe we will always need a strong national defense, but if I could be convinced that this country was ready to take education seriously, I’d vote for any needed tax increase.
My conservative buddies are going to string me up for this answer.
