Hello,
Im Going back to school to get my masters because of a recent stint of unemployment. I am unmatriculated due to registering late (this means I am currently considered non degree seeking). Are there any government programs which will help me pay for this? I will be enrolling as degree seeking next semester and I know I will not have trouble with that, but I’m looking for help this semester.
Pell grant- this grant is based on income vs people in the household. Id you are unemployed, then you should be able to get the whole amount of the Pell, which currently is $5350 per aid year.
There are state opportunity grants based on income too. Most federal and state grants are based on income, so if you apply early, then you could quality for most or all of them.
